U.s. total bond index master portfolio
A bond index fund is a fund that invests in a portfolio of bonds designed to match the performance of a particular index, such as the Barclays Aggregate U.S. Bond Index. Investors can buy index-related products like traditional bond mutual funds or they can choose from the growing number of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which can be traded through a broker. Vanguard Short-Term Bond Index : The fund offers a diversified approach to bond investing, at low cost, with broad exposure to U.S. investment-grade bonds with maturities from one to five years.
